A NonTech-Techie

Yeah, that's me, Puneet Malhotra. Through this blog, you will get to know my non-technical perspective on technical concepts.

I would say I am curious about exploring tech concepts from day-to-day functional process that can make life easier—not only by understanding but also by implementing these concepts while developing applications.

About my Perspective:-

Technology was invented to automate tasks and processes that were once done manually. Yet, despite its prevalence, understanding technical concepts can often feel like learning a new Technical Language—one that doesn’t come naturally to everyone.

Like many others, I struggled to grasp technical ideas, but the real challenge emerged during implementation. That’s when I realized: how we learn or understand a concept directly impacts how effectively we apply it. The key lies in connecting these ideas to something familiar.

Take the "if-else" condition in coding. It’s no different from the decisions we make every day: If it’s raining, I’ll carry an umbrella; else, I’ll leave it at home. When I thought of coding this way, implementation became much easier.

Another example is Encapsulation from OOP concept—terms like Public, Private, or Protected. These are concepts we unknowingly apply in daily life. We’re all familiar with boundaries: some things are shared openly, others are kept private, and a few are shared selectively. Recognizing this parallel makes it simple to apply encapsulation while developing software.

Similarly, we often hear that a "Class" is a blueprint, but have we ever paused to ask why? 🤔

A Class is just a structured plan, much like organizing a project or event in real life. Once we connect these dots 🖇, technical concepts start to feel intuitive.

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and other technical frameworks weren’t just designed to make software better; they were built to mimic the frameworks humans naturally use to perform tasks.

👉🏽 Imagine a shopkeeper hiring someone to handle billing. That’s automation in a human form. Computers do the same, only faster and more efficiently.

This realization inspired me to start writing. From a non-technical perspective, I explore how technical concepts relate to the manual processes we’ve been doing all along. By connecting these ideas to everyday life, I aim to make technology more accessible and less intimidating.

So, were OOP principles already embedded in the way we worked before computers?

🔦  My blog is all about uncovering the non-technical roots behind technical concepts and explaining them in simple, relatable ways. Join me on this journey of discovery and let’s demystify technology together.
